The Water Village

There is actually a village on the middle of the lake outside of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I went with a small group to visit this village. After an hour-long boat ride, we arrived. The people literally eat and drink everything that comes out of the lake. They live and breathe this lake. Monks even travel out here by boat to bless the people that live in tiny floating huts. I can still see them waving joyously to us from their doorways.

This photo documents a tiny school that a white church built for the village. I had the incredible privilege of visiting this school and putting on a puppet show for the children. They arrived to school by boat!!
